X server screen shifted

Hello,

First off I would like to say hello to the Arch Community! I have used several Linux Distributions in the past including Red Hat and Slackware and I am very impressed with Arch Linux. It is by far the best distribution that I have used. It is fast, very stable, and oh so versatile. Anyway onto my problem:

When arch boots up the screen looks fine, it does not boot to X. It is aligned right on the left side of the screen and everything is just fine. However, after I log in and startx, the screen gets shifted about a centimeter to the right, and none of the setting in the xorg config file that I have messed with have helped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And just let me know what information that you need. Thank you kindly!

Re: X server screen shifted

Are you using a CRT monitor?
Changing resolution/refresh-rate/color depth on such a monitor can cause the image to shift. The only workaround I'm aware of, is to make sure, you are using the same resolution everywhere.
