NPTL Upgrade?

I just added the NPTL repo to pacman and got it all up and running smoothly on my desktop.  I know the basics of NPTL but my question is for anyone else running it have you found there is a noticable performance difference?  Is upgrading to NPTL worth it?  Eventually Judd wants to switch arch to NPTL so he must feel it is worth it and the future of linux.  What are your ideas/thoughts/opinions on NPTL?

Re: NPTL Upgrade?

NPTL is really great and a must for the future, but you won't notice any performance change under normal desktop conditions.

Summary:

NPTL is more posix compliant.

Cleaner design (1:1 threading model, no need for manager threads).

Much faster.

Because the behaviour changed to what posix requires applications that used the old behavour may be broken.
