Wierd Text on terminal

Hello Arch users,

First of all, thanks for suggesting various window managers in the previous thread. I have tried openbox, fluxbox, enlightenment and awesome. Experimenting with them has been fun and now I am currently sticking to fluxbox. Its wonderful

Now there has been some problems with the text I read on the terminal.For example:

[spai@L ~]$ man fbsetbg

NAME 
   fbsetbg [7m<80><94> set a background/wallpaper

SYNOPSIS
     fbsetbg [[7m<88><92>^H[7m<88><92>fctaFCTA wallpaper] [[7m<88><92>^H[7m<88><92>uU wallpapersetter] [[7m<88><92>^H[7m<88><92>bB fbsetrootoptions ...] [[7m<88><92>^H[7m<88><92>rR path] [[7m<88><92>^H[7m<88><92>l]

I just cant read it. On the other hand, some other man files have minimal such "arbitrary numbers" popping in.
A few man files give this problem rarely, while some are loaded with these numbers

Any ideas?

Those are quotes. You'll get that on some websites too. This is probably a locale problem. I don't know the specifics, but I do know that they were gone when I changed to most as the pager. After installing most, edit /etc/man.conf and replace anything under PAGER and BROWSER with /usr/bin/most -s.
