Alpine questions

I want to setup alpine to get mail from two seperate email accounts on two seperate servers and sort them. Is this possible ?

And can you save your password info in there so it doesn't ask you everytime.

Re: Alpine questions

As far as I know (Al)Pine, it's more geared towards working with mail on the server as opposed to download it into some local folder.

Re: Alpine questions

As far as I could see, you can create multiple mail accounts, but you can access them only one a time. But I am not very experienced. I have used it in the past, but I'm not using it right now (and I can't install it at the moment, since I'm in a library where FTP is blocked).

I could not find any way to save my passwords.

I hope that this is at least a start.

Alpine has many improvements over Pine, but it's still same old Pine underneath, meaning that you can search the web for Pine specific answers or FAQ's.

POP http://www.zrox.net/Mail/Pine/read.html#multiple
IMAP http://www.ii.com/internet/messaging/im … #setupPine

I hope this is exactly what you meant.

Yes, if pine was compiled with support for a "passfile", which I think is excluded in the prepackaged alpine in extra.

Many people also use fetchmail and some MDA and sort email outside the client, offlineimap is also very popular and useful.
