[Solved]Volume $ mute buttons Pavillion zv5000

Recently installed and have the most important things working.  Now I'm working out minor issues.  My laptop has volume and mute buttons on the front, which I would really like to get working.  If anyone has any tips on this your help would be greatly appreciated!

Basicly what you need is: xev, xmodmap and maybe setkeycodes. You can read all about it here http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Hotkeys

You need to install an RTFM interface.

If you're using gnome, try going to System -> Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts, select the action you with to assign to a hotkey and hit the button!
