Sampling a wav file [SOLVED]

Is there a certain application that can take a sample from a wav file? I would like to take a piece of a song I converted to a wav file and use it as the introductory sound when logging in.

And then you have Sweep, ReZound. All audio editors can do it. You just need the "cut" function.

I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

Thanks for the input. I will play around with these to see which one I like best.

How do you label a discussion as 'Resolved'?

To mark a thread [SOLVED], click the Edit link in the bottom-right corner of the thread's original/first post. From the edit page, you can change the thread subject. smile
