Minimum pkgs installing Gnome?

What are the minimum packages to run Gnome? Is there one package with its' dependencies doing the job same as kdebase does for KDE? Will gnome-desktop do or is there anything smaller or it needs some other packages?

Re: Minimum pkgs installing Gnome?

gnome is a beast and the inter dependencies are killer. i seriously doubt you could get as small as set of "base" packages as you get with kde.

I thought that's what the gnome group was for and that gnome-extra was for all the little fiddly bits.
