Salut,
is there a way to display an application launcher in pypanel? Found the launcher-section of the .pypanelrc but as I got a lot of applications, the bar is too short for all of them. Displaying the context-menu (menu.xml) of the desktop would be good enough.

Most pypanel users seem to use it with a window manager like Openbox that has its own application menu. What WM are you using?

Salut,
I'm using openbox as well, but when I have a maximized application that covers the whole desktop, I have to minimize it or switch to another desktop to be able to right-click on some free space.

In that case, I suggest using your window manager's menu and limiting pypanel's width (P_WIDTH in .pypanelrc) to, say, ten pixels less than the entire screen.
EDIT: If you want the gap to be on the left, just change P_START to the same value.

I use the the "margin" option of openbox, so the maximized windows don't cover the whole screen.
e.g. you can leave one pixel at the left free.
If you do that you can move the mouse "hard left" and right klick to get the openbox menu.

That's a good idea and working like a charm.
Thanks,
