[solved! :D] Updated Arch logos for the merch?

I was thinking the other day about how much Arch has done for me and I decided I'd make a donation and buy a t-shirt, but I noticed that all the merch is still using the old logo!  Any chance one of you guys in the Arch hierarchy (no pun intended) could update the merch so I could get a new-logo shirt? big_smile

Oh and by the way, just a suggestion - it might be a good idea to keep the old logo available too for people that like those, I know cafepress doesn't mind a lot of stuff on the site and all wink

Well, there is a bug report about this. And this was covered on the latest newsletter. Beacuse, Aaron Griffin did bring it up on the mailing list.

I think I will buy some Arch merch, too. No distro has ever made me feel so at home, so I ought to literally wear it now tongue

Re: [solved! :D] Updated Arch logos for the merch?

I have already decided, but yeah I'm waiting for the design (logo) to be updated smile First of all, stickers! I'd probably get a few things at once including a jersey. The new logo on apparels is just cool.

I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

Yeah, buying an Arch shirt will be the first time I've ever bought an object like that, but I'm looking forward to it.  It'd also be kind of nice, I think, if there were tiny Arch stickers for sale that I could put in place of the Windows logo on my keyboards . . .

Hey, I'd really like one of those! .. The only laptop I own, though, is an Apple MacBook, and I don't know if I'd want to commit to such a thing!  Maybe if there was already a manufacturer's logo in place to cover up . . .

Nobody's really linked to the new store at http://www.zazzle.com/archlinux* but I'm assuming from the posts that people know there is one now.

To answer your question, I believe that zazzle ships most merchandise to almost all international destinations. Some of their items (the sculpted key chains for example) are outsourced and those are not shipped internationally (I couldn't get one here in Canada), but the t-shirts are.

Maybe "Designed for" should be "Powered by". Designed for Arch Linux...  if only it were true! big_smile

Re: [solved! :D] Updated Arch logos for the merch?

The next desktop I build will definitely be designed for Arch.

Too bad it's an impossible dream for laptops though.

Or are there actually vendors offering to custom-build laptops? I've been looking for this kind of offering for a long time but haven't been able to find anything.

My favorite part about those "designed for" Windows stickers is ... well ... how do you DESIGN hardware for an operating system, yet ... you need to install third party drivers to make it work? tongue

Oh, and I bought the failsauce mug and the arch taco t-shirt!  I can't wait to get them big_smile  Of course, ordering merch is the absolute least I could do for what Arch has given me, but I hope it helps you guys big_smile

Wow! I have the same mouse too! This is very sad, considering it's a MS mouse hmm

Hey, it's a very nice mouse.  MS has always made (*cough* badged *cough*) great peripherals I think.  Logitech doesn't even hold a candle to them.

I have no problem putting my money towards things that I think are worth it.  I don't support MS as far as operating systems go, but if they make a great mouse, sure, I'll throw a little money at them.  No reason to be a hater ...

If that encourages them to bring their business somewhere else, I'm all for it tongue

Easy. You choose cheap hardware parts that are not supported and don't support other operating systems and... voila, you have turned a bug into a feature.
