xcursor theme in gdm

Hi,

this is just a detail, but how can I load a xcursor theme in gdm? I have a xcursor theme running with XFCE, but it's loaded only when I run XFCE (my DE).

Thank you.

Re: xcursor theme in gdm

hmm, I have had this before, if you go into gdmsetup you can specify a .gtkrc file to use.  Copy your ~/.gtkrc* files to /root.  Then specify it in gdmsetup.  smile

That should work

Re: xcursor theme in gdm

gtk-cursor-theme-name = "cursortheme"
gtk-cursor-theme-size = 16

If I remember rightly.

Also not sure how to do this on kdm.

Hope that helps smile

Re: xcursor theme in gdm

Create the file /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme and put the following in it substituting your theme name for mine (Jimmac).

[Icon Theme]
Inherits=Jimmac

This worked for me, hope it helps.
