Aoss causing choppy sound.

I have finally gotten both Teamspeak and Quake 3 Arena to share sound with my usb headset. I accomplish this running 'aoss TeamSpeak' and 'aoss quake3'. However, the sound output from both is now extremely choppy, making it completey unusable. Is there any sort of config file I am missing that would help make the sound quality better in these programs using aoss?

Re: Aoss causing choppy sound.

As I *hate* sound servers, I used this workaround for q3 http://nullkey.ath.cx/~stuff/et-sdl-sound/
I even wrote a PKGBUILD for that, but you can safely download the launcher script from that page.

This way q3 uses alsa through sdl, and the dsp device is free for use with teamspeak (which is a crappy program, even more on linux).

Or you can install jackd and joss, and the run both the programs via joss program

Or you can give OSS4 a try http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OSS

Re: Aoss causing choppy sound.

I will give jackd and joss a try, oss4 did not work for me.

EDIT: Actually, I like that first idea better, I'd like to avoid using sound systems myself.
