A quick fonts question... [solved]

Hello all!

New here, just a quickie.

I use KDE, and when I run Gnome/GTK apps like Gaim or Evolution, I am presented with a pretty crap choice of font smile

Anyone know how I change the default font for these type of apps?

Cheers, Phil.

Try opening up gnome-control-center with a Konsole.

Thanks for the help-- I opened up gnome-control-center in a KDE console, went into 'Fonts' and immediately it fixed the fonts.

However as soon as I restart they change back. Any idea how to make it 'stick'?

Cheers, Phil.

Re: A quick fonts question... [solved]

Just to let everyone know, I managed to solve this problem.

I created a text file called ~/.gtkrc-2.0 containing the line :

gtk-font-name = "Tahoma 11"

...and it worked a treat. YMMV though, since there are many methods for many people.

(Obviosly use your font of choice, not mine!)

Cheers, P-J.
