prrrrrrrrrrt sound...

Hi all,

I have this problem with many games, the background tune is prrrrrrrrrt'ing... sad Oddly, I have no problem when playing songs with ogg321 or mpg321 etc.

No warnings whatsoever when I launch the game from the console or in the logs... Any clue?

Cheers!

Re: prrrrrrrrrrt sound...

I had the same problem, using a home-baked zen-kernel.
I found that disabling both "swap-prefetch" and the group policy sheduling thing greatly improved things, so if you're on the same road as me that might be worth a shot

ps: zen-sources devellopers already know swap-prefetch is currently bugged and trying to get a fix in for the 2.6.26-rc kernels
pps: i disabled group policy sheduling on a whim in the same stroke with swap-prefetch, so you may want to try keeping it enabled if you feel it and see how you fare wink
