You guys rule!

Thought it was time for another thank the devs and community post.

I seemlessly changed to x.org and udev in the past few weeks using arch linux.  Not a single hiccup.  The devs here rule, and thanks to the community for the nice wiki articles to make it completely painless.

Re: You guys rule!

I feel the same.

I am getting ready to switch to udev, and I'm excited about it...

Since the difficulties with package quality after release 0.6, all has been GREAT for me.  Incredible.  Solid.  Almost perfect.  smile

Re: You guys rule!

I downloaded the the amlug live-cd and did an hd-install. After tweaking the system I hava fluxbox-cvs system up and running with firestarter, sound, printing and the latest kernel (ck-con's cfq fix-ups). I really like the simplicity of arch. The integration of udev and i686 equals speed and a small footprint.
Amlug is really doing you great service offering the live-cd. I have used many other distros. Arch and Debian a good tie as my favorites. But I really like the simple init scripts of Arch.

Thanks

Re: You guys rule!

arch is what desktop linux should be, imho. everything just seems to work so seamlessly. i know there's a lot of hard work behind that and the apparent simplicity, so i agree that everyone who works on arch deserves a huge round of applause. smile

Re: You guys rule!

hear hear again...

I've been promoting Arch as THE distro to learn with as well as keep forever...  I know for sure I've brought at least 3 or 4 people over to Arch and 2 were complete newbs to linux...

I'd say a GUI frontend to Pacman would be the only thing on my wish list....

Thanks to the Arch devs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
