problem in ratpoison

my screen suddenly blanks out(screen becomes totally black)  in ratpoison i dont know why ... i cant type cant do anything ..tried  "alt ctrl f6 " doent work ...finally only "alt ctrl del " works & it restarts ...also the latest thing i installed before it was "OSDBATTERY".... i am using GNOME now everything working perfectly ...any ideas ??/
