I really like how you can just see everything at once with awesome, so I've decided that ill switch to it from Openbox, but I've got some questions first.......
About how long will it take to switch over to awesome? Ive already got it installed with pacman, but then I've got to get a config, get some conky, get all the bars right... etc.
Where can I get configs? Ive seen some users post them on forums, but is there any big archive that I can get them from? Like how you can get GTK themes from gnome-look
Thanks

I use Openbox and Awesome, and I found that hopping from Openbox to Awesome (and back again, randomly) wasn't all that bad.
As far as configuration goes, it honestly depends on what you want to do with it. While configuring it, I found the Awesome wiki to be best resource.
Check it out: http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page -- There's also some premade configs that people posted for use. That wiki will pretty much teach you everything you need to know about configuring Awesome, and trust me... It's really easy. Also check out http://www.dotfiles.org, which has a ton of .config files for Awesome, Openbox, and a whole bunch of other window managers. For example, here's one of my Awesome configs from a while ago --> http://dotfiles.org/~kiwisaotome/.awesomerc_darkgrey<-- You should still be able to use it.
Honestly, I think that once you read the documentation (really, really easy to follow documentation) from the wiki and maybe even visit the Awesome irc channel, then you'll see how easy it is to configure awesome.
