wmii and screen resolution.

I am trying wmii on my main computer which has a screen of 1440X900.  The problem is that I am missing the lower portion of the screen.  I have to bring the mouse in the lower portion of the screen to see the menu per exemple.  I am using xf86-video-i810.  All is okay with kde.  Any suggestions ?

Maybe I should also add that the only way I could get that display to work correctly is by using "915resolution 5c 1440 900".

Re: wmii and screen resolution.

If kde can do it, xrandr probably can too!

Otherwise try using xf86-video-intel, which is newer and does not need 915resolution to get widescreen modes.

Re: wmii and screen resolution.

Are you saying xrandr is to be installed?  If so, why is it not listed as a dependency...:/

Iin any case, I tried xf86-video-intel.  Now, with wmii, it looks like the graphics are vertically slightly compressed.  Then going back to kde, the display flickers like crazy from left to right...

EDIT_1 : Plus, there seems to be some problems with kernel and intel video driver although I don't have kernel .25 (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=49159)
