[Solved]Framebuffer and Arch logo boot icon

I added the "vga=773" and I was welcomed with not one arch logo in the top left, but two. Is this normal? And wow, I love having a 1024x768 frame buffer, it equals sexy.

Do you have a dual core processor?

Ahh, yes I do. Also, I installed grub twice during the installation, once, then again so I could edit the menu.lst to add the vga line.

Re: [Solved]Framebuffer and Arch logo boot icon

You get one per "processor" as the kernel sees it. This includes multiple cores AND hyperthreading (HT processors count as 2 to the kernel).

Also, grub is not like lilo. You don't need to do anything extra when you edit menu.lst. Just edit it and reboot.

Ahh thanks, I didn't know that about the cores, and I didn't realize how much, to me, better grub is than lilo.
