installed Enemy Territory boots then quits possible vid driver problem

ok I followed the instruction on how to recompile and install ET on a 64bit Arch here http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=46846 Punk buster ran and updated fine I went to play tthe game but it wouldn't launch so I looked for the folders ( there are two well two on the Ubuntu os) went to /home/user/.etwolf folder but there is nothing in it I made sure that my folder view options were set to see hidden files and folders .there should be files in there but there is non I am not sure of what to do can anyone help me with this?
Well I wait I am going to try again from scratch maybe I missed something

The home folder should be empty until you exit from the game normally so it can write all the configuration files to your home directory.
Try running it from a terminal and look at the output for errors or clues atleast.

thats  another thing when I used to use Ubuntu all I had to do was type ET in terminal and it would load but when I type ET into the terminal in ARCH it doesn't do anything

The binary is at /opt/enemy-territory/et
There should also be a symlink at /usr/bin/enemy-territory
So by typing enemy-territory in a terminal ET should run.

it doesn't run smile when I type ET in the terminal
