I haven't. I tried compiling it but it gave errors with the ac97.h file and some other files too...

Anyone made any progress with this?  I've just failed to compile myself with some unhelpful errors about the ac97.h file...

you should only enable the card you would use e.g.

cd DirectFB-0.9.20
 ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-gfxdrivers=CARD
make 
make install

for CARD you can choose : ati128,cle266,i810,matrox, neomagic ,nsc ,nvidia ,radeon ,savage or tdfx.....hope this helps you
