Can't print Chinese chars in OO.

HP 1020- just got it working in .25

Can't print Chinese characters in OO Writer or Calc!
(English ok)

1.
/etc/local.gen has Chinese & (Engish)  locals enabled
zh_CN.GB18030    GB18030
zh_CN.GBK    GBK
etc

2.   Did localgen  ( locales generated)

3.
.bashrc has this:
export LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
export LC_CTYPE="zh_CN.UTF-8"

4. OO Chinese fonts are enabled and packages installed
     openoffice-zh_cn
     openoffice-zh_tw

5. The following Chinese fonts are installed:
fc-list
文泉驿正黑,文泉驛正黑,WenQuanYi Zen Hei:style=中等,Medium
文鼎ＰＬ新中楷 ExtB,AR PL New Kai ExtB:style=Regular
文鼎ＰＬ新宋 ExtB,AR PL New Sung ExtB:style=Regular,Reguler
文鼎ＰＬ新宋 Mono,AR PL New Sung Mono:style=Regular,Reguler
文鼎PL细上海宋Uni,文鼎PL細上海宋Uni,AR PL ShanHeiSun Uni:style=Regular
and this: ttf-arphic-ukai

Scim enabled.

No idea what to do further.
