Trident Microsystems TGUI 9660/938x/968x Module Problem

I have checked around on google, and wanted to hear what you think...

I installed a Trident Microsystems TGUI 9660/938x/968x pci video card on my PC.

Everywhere I look, it says the module to load is "trident" to get it working.  This module is unfindable with an insmod or modprobe and just plain doesn't want to work!!!

What to do?

I'm running kernel 2.6.

To work with what?
If you want it to work with X then trident module is X module (not in kernel) - man trident :-)
Or are there other trident video drivers?

I got the modules cofigged in xorg.conf.  I'm trying to set up a two-moitor display, and the second monitor (hooked up the pci card) won't "wake up".  I'll post my config later.
