I call it Elegant Brilliance Homogeneous. Its very different than your standard approach to theming. Revolutionary, as I call it.

Ulp! I thought one of the electron guns in my monitor had gone on the blink.
Then I remembered I have an LCD.

Update from me, working on this...
nice. I like it... maybe I should ban gnome from my laptop and switch to a lighter window manager, if it looks that good ^^

I wonder how long your eyes will be functional... that font is so tiny

Arkane, are you using awesome3? If so, could you post your .awesomerc.lua? I can't seem to get my widgets working

It's Awesome 2.3, which still uses the old .awesomerc format.

GTK theme: Clearlooks-Gray
Metacity: SystemGX
Icons: black-white2_Neon
Fonts: Bitstream Vera Sans 7 (GTK/Metacity), Dejavu Sans 8 (Documents), Terminus (terminals)
are you using anything special for the panels?
I am in the process of redesigning my desktop. I've been a previous openbox, kde, xfce, and wmii user, currently using GNOME. I was about to switch to kde4, but so far i tried it, and it doesn't feel complete/consistent yet, lacking many apps...

Is the GTK theme or the WM theme that you're working on?
Both look good, but that WM(Metacity?) theme looks really nice. Very clean and works remarkably well with the light shadows.

Panels are just using the background image that comes with the Clearlooks-Gray theme, and set so they don't take up the whole width of the screen.

Both Gtk and Metacity, and icons.
