Is anyone else having troubles with totem? I can't play any video in it. Now I have all gstreamer0.10 plugins installed. In fact, I can't play video with gstreamer at all (gnome-subtitles is having problems too). I have even tried this on my secondary laptop and it has issues too.
Now I have noticed I don't have a /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstffmpeg.so file, but it is not in the packages and if I am having issues due to this, so must everyone else...
I have cleared everything totem/gstreamer related from my home directory.
This is the message I get
** Message: don't know how to handle video/x-xvid, framerate=(fraction)24000/1001, width=(int)704, height=(int)400
** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|0.10|totem|XVID MPEG-4 decoder|decoder-video/x-xvid (XVID MPEG-4 decoder)
As I said, I have all gstreamer plugins installed. In fact, I cleared the pacman cache and did this just to be sure
pacman -S gstreamer0.10{,-{base,good,bad,ugly}{,-plugins}}
Any ideas?

What arch are you using. I am fully up to date on both (well, as far as the mirror I'm using is going...), although I see some gstreamer stuff in the latest updates. I guess I will wait a day or two and get back to figuring this out later...

Hands up who is an idiot! /me raises hand...
When I said I didn't have /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstffmpeg.so, I should have installed gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg. For some reason I thought this was included with one of the plugin groups...
