Running the new Konqueror in the old KDE

I'm an avid konqueror fan, and I love how customizable it is and also how snappy it is.
I'm using the new konqueror in KDE4 right now, but I was wondering if there was any way to run the new Konqueror from KDE4 in KDE3.5.
I love the new konqueror because it's so much better, but the KDE4 desktop just isn't there yet...

Re: Running the new Konqueror in the old KDE

Here is the output when I try to run Konqueror4 in KDE3.5.

[coda@linux ~]$ /opt/kdemod/bin/konqueror
konqueror(12837) KonqHistoryManager::loadHistory: The history version doesn't match, aborting loading

Re: Running the new Konqueror in the old KDE

AFAIK I don't think this is possible as konqueror is tightly integrated with the KDE libraries (and hence the new version will only run in the KDE4 environment).

flack 2.0.6: menu-driven BASH script to easily tag FLAC files (AUR)
knock-once 1.2: BASH script to easily create/send one-time sequences for knockd (forum/AUR)

Re: Running the new Konqueror in the old KDE

I certainly can run konversation the other way I think what is happening is the path is set for the environment you're in.

So if you call it exactly it should work. Guess it can be done with an export or something, but find calling konversation works fine. I presume it would work the other way.

For example using kdemod try /opt/kdemod/bin/konqueror sorry cant try no longer have kde4 installed.
