Stupid question regarding metacity pixmap themes...

How do I get a pixmap theme to match a GTK theme color *exactly*? Right now I'm using colorize="gtk:bg[SELECTED]" to color the pixmaps for part of my theme, but instead of matching that color, colorize seems to blend the selected background color and the previous color of the pixmaps. I tried using pure black pixmaps and it didn't work - the theme stayed pure black. Same thing happens with pure white.

How do I handle this? I'd prefer not to have to rewrite it as a pure XML theme right now, that would be quite annoying...
