GNOME system tray

I just did a base install of GNOME with pacman.  The only problem is that I don't seem the system tray doesn't seem to work at all.  Do I need to install a special package?

Also, when I installed GNOME  (pacman -Sy gnome)  it just installed the absoute minimal stuff.  I had to install programs like gedit, eye of gnome, file-roller, etc...  individually.  Is there any way to install everything gnome related in one shot?

Re: GNOME system tray

thanks,  I have all the extra GNOME stuff.  But still nothing shows up when I minimize a program to the system tray.  Is there a way to enable it?

Re: GNOME system tray

If you mean things like gaim showing up as a little icon, you have to add the notification area.  You can get to the menu to add the notification area by right-clicking the panel.
Hope that works, -Steve
