Folder and documents missing in Arch, but not in Ubuntu and Vista!

Hi!

I got most of my documents saved in a folder. I can find this folder in both Ubuntu and Vista, but not in Arch. The folder is just not there in Arch. Also, some other documents are laying around free in another folder, and  they are not there in Arch either.

I copyed the folder into Home with Ubuntu and then Arch was able to see it. Why can't Arch find the documents and the folders containing documents when their not in Home?

Thanks! smile

First, I must ask if these files are on an NTFS volume? If so, Ubuntu may have automatically configured NTFS support and mounted the volume without your knowledge.

Second, if this filesystem is not NTFS, it must be FAT if Vista is able to read it. I'm not really sure why Arch would not see files on a FAT volume.

Yes, the files are on a NTFS volume, but I have installed NTFS-3g. All other files and folders on the same disk works perfectly. I use files from it everyday when I'm in Arch.
