Problem with playing video - X11/XShm/Xv

Hello all,

I have installed Archlinux i686, all packages are in actual versions (pacman -Syu). Hardware HP nx9420 - ATI x1600.

I tried in the same day to install packages: compiz-fusion (only install, not use), mandvd and xmonad.

After reboot I cannot play video files on players totem, vlc or mplayer...

vlc dvd://
VLC media player 0.8.6f Janus
libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 0.1.10 from http://dvd.sf.net
libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable.
libdvdnav: DVD Title: BOTA JMENEM MEL
libdvdnav: DVD Serial Number: 37446E3AC8BB91C5
libdvdnav: DVD Title (Alternative):
libdvdnav: Unable to find map file '/home/hoppik/.dvdnav/BOTA JMENEM MEL.map'
libdvdnav: DVD disk reports itself with Region mask 0x00c00000. Regions: 1 2 3 4 5 6
libdvdnav: RANDOM or SHUFFLE titles are NOT handled yet.

If in gstreamer-properties is set video output to X11/XShm/Xv, program crashes after is pressed buton Test with these output:

$ gstreamer-properties --sync
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'artsdsink'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'pulsesink'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'v4lmjpegsrc'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'qcamsrc'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'esdmon'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'pulsesrc'
The program 'gstreamer-properties' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 56 error_code 2 request_code 141 minor_code 19)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

So I must to set video output to X11 without xv, then are videofiles played correctly, but it causes high CPU load.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards Thomas
