broadcom is blocking my path to archlinux

Hey, I'm trying to give archlinux a shot. I downloaded and burned the FTP one... I boot up into it fine but when I go to configure my network connection it does not work... guessing because both my wireless and wire connection are both broadcom.... which sucks. So I thought I would download the core install and I installed that. There is a problem though. How do I download+install GNOME on it?

Is there a way to get ndiswrapper? then install my drivers? I have ndiswrapper-1.53.tar.gz and my wireless drivers on a USB.

install with the core install cd, boot up into a working install, and then you can get your wireless working properly =P

i do have both ethernet and wireless on broadcom chipset. for ethernet i use b44 module and for wireless b43.

I FINALLY got it installed... with a little commen sense I was able to get it to boot ndiswrapper and blacklist bcm43xx and have internet! (took me about 10 installs lol)... then I figured out that I could just use nano to edit /etc/rc.conif.... o well... I'm downloading GNOME now, I never knew it was so big! Maybe I should switch to XFCE?

Does anyone have a tutorial for compiling my first kernel?
