kipi-plugin print-wizard prints in black

I use gwenview with kipi-plugins. When I try to print multiple images on a sheet I get black on white printing.
The odd thing is that it does not happen when I print 4 to 1 only when I print 8 to 1. I did not test all the options
but I need 8 to 1 scope and kipi seems to have a bug with this scope.
My printer: HP LaserJet 1018, driver: hplip.
I need to print these images so suggesting another solution would help too.
