None of the GNOME Power Manager Settings Work After GNOME 2.22

My HP laptop used to suspend when the power was critically low, now it just cuts the power.. sad When I press the POWER button, it used to init the GDM shutdown functions, now nothing happens.... None of the settings in there seem to work... That's very annoying..

I thought that this was the problem on my laptop, but then I checked /var/log/suspend.log and it claimed that it had suspended/hibernated...
Are you using pm-utils?

There's a bug report on pm-utils and a thread in laptop Issues. Work around is to downgrade. Hopefully the bug will be fixed soon though.
