I just have a few issues.
1. is there a way for me to hide all the scrolling text from when arch boots up.
2. I've created a user that is not root and has kde access. Is there a way I can have arch boot up into kde and log said user in?
3. I don't seem to be able to shutdown my pc from kde via aforementioned user. I can only log out, from whence I have to go back to root to reboot or shutdown.
I'm sure I'm forgetting more things, that I wanted to ask.

to shutdown as a user from KDE make sure that your user is in the 'power' group, then you should get a shutdown option on the logout menu
