Hi there,
Im currently trying to get my Hauppauge WinTV HVR-900 usb stick running. It's a hybrid stick for receiving analogue and dvb-t signals.
I found a couple of howtos and followed one of those. What I did until now: Get the firmware-files and place it under /lib/firmware, check-out v4l-dvb-experimental and compile it and modprobe em2880-dvb. The module itself seems to be running fine:
Linux video capture interface: v2.00
em28xx v4l2 driver version 0.0.1 loaded
usbcore: registered new interface driver em28xx
Em28xx: Initialized (Em2880 DVB Extension) extension
But somehow my usb-stick isnt recognized as a dvb-t receiver:
usb 5-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
usb 5-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Normally em28xx should be checking for the firmware-files at this point but somehow it doesnt. Of course there is no /dev/dvb and video-players dont recognize the device either. None of the LEDs of the stick glow.
lsusb says:
Bus 005 Device 003: ID 2040:6600 Hauppauge
So for me it seems like em28xx or em2880-dvb cant recognize the stick as what is it is?
S/N of my stick is 66009
Any thoughts appreciated!
