I tried several package for firefox3, none works on my system. I tried these ones:
- firefox3-bin
- firefox3-bin-pl
- firefox3-systemcairo
- firefox3-branded.
Most of the time, I get the "pango" error and can't succeed to run sucessfully.
Has someone successfully installed a firefox version 3 (RC2 or RC3) on 64bits, and which version ?
Thanks,
Olivier

Enable the unstable repo in your pacman.conf and then use "pacman -Sy firefox3" to use the official Arch binary.
Or just use
pacman -U http://ftp.archlinux.org/unstable/os/x86_64/firefox3-3.0rc2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz
Edit: fix the arch in the url...

Thanks Allan,
doing a pacman -S firefox3 did work fine. I can now compile and install firefox3. Now I have an error with libflashplayer.so that I must sort out.
But it is not clear to me why my installation method did not work. I have probably missed some discussions.
Is it a bug in Yaourt ? Should we always prefer to use pacman instead of Yaourt ?

I installed firefox-spookyet 3.0rc3-1 that is available through AUR and everything went just fine. Compiled OK, and worked OK

I use spookyet's build as well. It's got PGO, and is much faster than non-PGO builds in my experience. Since 3.0 final was just released, I simply modified the PKGBUILD and ran makepkg. Works great.

Also using spookyet's build, it's awesome.
