hello,
opera looks really nice, but i'm missing some things. first i need a slim theme like littlefox for ff. all the themes i found are quite big (big menu bars etc). then there are some addons i really miss, smth like a cookie manager (cookiejar for ff), a smart adblocker (adblock) and mediaplayerconnectivity (choose what to do with site embedded media).
any suggestions,
vlad

opera allready comes with some kind auf adblock (right click -> block content).

for blocking ads, edit your ~/.opera/urlfilter.ini and create rules to block content or import lists from the internet:
http://icefire44.ic.funpic.de/ad-flitze … filter.ini
restart your adfree opera :>

thanks, that's what i was looking for. i read that this is possible, but i hadn't found a working link for the filterlist.
the next point is the theme. i dislike the big themes i found on their site. i need a theme like littlefox, not one which takes two thirds of the screen...

i think using a native opera skin/theme with custom edited panels is the best choice. you can also rearrange the buttons by your own favour.
i only use 3 buttons: last/next website and the magic wand --> enough space for browsing :>
thanks anch0r.
that's graet. one last question: how do i get rid of the (file, edit, view, etc) panel? in firefox there is an addon called conpact menu,
in konqueror it's by pressing ctrl-m.
any ideas?

I guess Alt-F11 or just edit your keybord shortcuts in pref, there is "enable/disable menu"

i got privoxy to work, a small howto:
1. install privoxy:
# pacman -S privoxy
2. download the privoxy filter list and cp/mv it to /etc/privoxy/:
wget http://www.neilvandyke.org/privoxy-rule … yke.action
# mv ~/neilvandyke.action /etc/privoxy
3. edit /etc/privoxy/config and add "actionsfile neilvandyke.action" to the file (without the " " )
4. start privoxy / add it to your daemon queu:
# /etc/rc.d/privoxy start
# nano /etc/rc.conf --> DAEMONS ( ... privoxy network)
