I'm still (apparently) having the same problem others did when they upgraded to 2.6.25 with Nvidia video cards, but I have an old GeForce2 MX/400 which uses the nvidia-96xx branch; nvidia-96xx-96.43.05-2 works with kernel26-2.6.24.4-1; nvidia-96xx-96.43.05-4 does NOT work with either kernel26-2.6.25.4-1 or kernel26-2.6.25.6-1.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

So now pointing out that a supposedly-fixed bug isn't, is *complaining*? LMAO. OK. As to what assistance I "want", well, I know my way around here better than that. I retract and apologize for asking for assistance; for the most part I gave up on getting help here years ago. I was mainly pointing out that it was still broken in case someone took an interest or ran into the same problem.
As noted at http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=110088 (amoung numerous other places), the NVidia binary drivers NEVER worked (via a standard "pacman -S nvidia-96xx...", anyway) under the 2.6.25 kernel.
I have verified that the 2.6.26-2 kernel that WAS in testing (it appears to have now hit the main repos), along with the NVidia 96.43.07-4 drivers (96.43.07-1 utils) work beautifully (on legacy cards). At least to this point. From my research, all NVidia cards should work with the current kernel and drivers.
