ArchWiki etiquette -- signing articles

I'd like to bring to everyone's attention the fact that some people are actually signing their articles in the ArchWiki. Now, without meaning any disrespect to the authors, I'd like to ask everyone to stop doing that and remove their signatures.

The main motivation behind this request is that a signed article may discourage further hacking by other Wiki authors, especially if the signature belongs to prominent members of the community. The 'signature' will appear in edit history, and there should be no need to seek a more explicit credit than that.
