firefox flash plugin

the install program doesnt work on x86_64 so i tried a manual install what am i doing wrong i put libflashplayer.so into ~/.mozilla/plugins/ and in /usr/lib/.firefox/plugins

neigther seem to do the trick

also i saw i could use pacman to do it but i get that its not in the sync db

There is no native flash-plugin for x86_64 . You can either use gnash, swfdec or you could try this.

Dont ask me what works best, I run i686.

I would suggest you use gnash. The flash  player for linux is in sorry shape.
I only use it because gnash won't play facebook videos.

anything open source can be compiled for any architecture.

Gnash has worked on youtube for me.

I should switch to gnash, and use my XP vm to watch facebook videos, which I do little anyway.
Facebook is the only page I found that won't work with gnash.
