acpi-cpufreq + pm-suspend: strange fan behaviour

Hi,

pm-suspend and resume work nicely on my laptop (Samsung Q45 Damali, Kernel 2.6.25-ARCH). However, if the acpi-cpufreq module is loaded, it still suspends/resumes but when suspended the cpu fan starts "going up and down" endlessly. If I unload the module the fan stays quiet.

I know its possible to unload modules automatically before suspend by putting it into a file in /etc/pm/config.d/, but if acpi-cpufreq is loaded at boottime it gives a "Fatal: module in use" error in the pm-suspend.log and accordingly the fan behaves badly. Theres no other errors mentioned in the logfile.

Since I would really like to have suspend and cpu frequency scaling on my laptop it would be nice if anyone had a suggestion - i tried wiki, forum-search and google without success.
I'm new to Arch so feel free to give details roll.
