ACPI and lm_sensors will not work

Hello,
I am  having some trouble with acpi. I have installed acpi via pacman yet when I type

 acpi -V

i get the message

No support for device type: thermal

.

Also lm_sensors will not work. when I type the command

sensors-detect

I get

bash: sensors-detect: command not found

lm_sensors was also installed via pacman.

I am running a brand new ASUS P5K/EPU board.

Any suggestions??
