I'm not sure about 2.4.1 upgrade issue but i've found recently that my printer is not working. I've just recompiled and reinstalled foo2zjs drivers for my printer. Now printer works just fine. OO version is 2.4.1.

My printer is working fine, as i can print documents from everywhere except openoffice. Maybe the new version will fix this?

AndyRTR was asking if you are running Gnome, KDE ...

I've filed a bugreport #10740
Seems only a problem when OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP is not set.
Try it with:
export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome
or
export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=kde
Printing work here with both settings. Hang only occurs when unset OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP

Setting the Force_Desktop option didnt solve the problem for me.

Somebody with that issue and a powerful system please recompile OOo-base and disable gtkunixprintdialog.diff. I guess that one causes this bug. And everybody please report your desktop system (kde, gnome, *box,...).

I'm using Fluxbox.

Hello, i'm using fluxbox too and had the same problem.
export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome
had not solve my problem. I now installed the old version with
sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/openoffice-base-2.4.0-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
Printing now is fine again.

Trying to recompile gives me "No package 'xulrunner-xpcom' found" even after removing xulrunner from the dependencies. I cleaned my cache not long ago and the servers that have old packages only have 2.2 or 2.3 (or 2.4.1), can someone upload the 2.4 package somewhere?
