Hi
Why cant i install firefox 3 on pacman ?
i can only find firefox 2.x.x.x

It'll be here soon.
For now you can install yaourt (pacman -S yaourt) - and then...
yaourt firefox3-bin
will do the trick!

Actually, using yaourt -S firefox3-bin is better because you get the straight firefox3 from mozilla.org instead of the rebranded 'Bon Echo' stuff.

True, but unless the aur package is updated by the maintainer then you won't get any updates.

That's very easy to handle - just download the PKGBUILD - and when a new release is available, edit the PKGBUILD and run makepkg. Simple.

I'v been using Firefox "branded" for a while now, got tired of being a class B citizen with "bon echo" 
so I'm used to the AUR Firefox stuff..

Same here... I switched over back when FF3 was at beta 3 and have never looked back toward Bon Echo!
