FTP install issue

So after being on these forums for a while, I finally decided to take the plunge and install Arch Linux. I seem to have run into a problem though. I'm doing a 64-bit FTP install with an encrypted LVM file system. When I go to install the packages, I get the following message:

One or more packages failed to download. You can try again by re-selecting Install Packages from the main menu.

Not sure what's wrong... My network is established. I can type in links2 and go to any webpage I want to go to.

Oh, I'm also using a custom ftp server: ftp://mirrors.easynews.com/linux/archlinux
and then I have the packages downloaded from /core/os/x86_64
