Opening a Tab in Konqueror

Did anyone ever get konqueror to show the home page when you open a new tab instaed of about:blank?

I just gave up on firefox/opera so im giving konqueror a spin. Anyone???

Use settings => save view profiled "profile" after setting the tab/tabs to where you wish them to be. If you wish for a different profile when starting then amend the command from where you launch it.

mmm I seem to be speed reading, if the above solution isn't good enough, unsure exactly how to do it.

But the toolbar gives you the ability to browse/launch home in a tab. Or set a profile as you wish so choosing the profile does it, and launch that profile when you need home. Several solutions but I guess none what you want.

Its a partial fix. After i have set the profiles, konqueror starts on google, which is fine. But when i open a new tab, its still about:blank.

Thats what im trying to change, not just the startup.

If I'm not mistaken, KDEmod is patched to support that.

This is on the KDEmod site. If its supposed to be working, its not.

Are you using KDEmod?

You have to enable that behaviour somewhere in Configure Konqueror/Web Behavior.

Yes im using kdemod. Theres nothing in web behaviour about changing the browser page.

I don't use KDEmod anymore, so I can't really tell. It used to be there (perhaps in Tabbed Browsing/Advanced), something along the lines of "open home url instead of about:blank). Home url can be set in Behavior.
