Hey guys, I recently found Elisa (http://elisa.fluendo.com/), and ran into a problem that seems to be ocurring in several distros: the local media files don't show up.
I'm able to listen to Shoutcast radio stations and watch Youtube, but when I try to open a local video file or mp3, they simply don't show up in the file browser. Browsing around I found these forum posts:
Arch forum: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=45828
Elisa forum: http://elisa.fluendo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=477
Gentoo forum: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-69 … art-0.html
The consensus seems to be that Elisa doesn't work with Twisted 8.1, and the solution is to use 2.5. That's what's available in Extra, so I figured I'd be good to go, but no dice - the problem is still there. The Arch post also mentions python-pysqlite and python-pysqlite-legacy as dependencies, so I installed those and still nothing.
Anyone else have this problem? Everything else is up to date and I even installed Totem to make sure I could use gstreamer to decode video.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Turns out there are unlisted dependencies: pil and python-pysqlite.
