SLiM does not compile

Hi,
When I try to get the SLiM login manager from pacman, or compile it from the file on the SLiM website, I get an error saying that strtol() is not declared in scope in cfg.cpp. So, I added the cstdlib header and recompiled it , but even after adding to the list of daemons ,it does not start up and it gives a segmentation fault when I try to run it inside a desktop environment. Is there something wrong in the package? Or is it something specific to my computer? Or did I do something wrong? sad . Any help appreciated.

Re: SLiM does not compile

See this bug report. It also has PKGBUILD and code patches you can use to solve the problem. I'm using slim with these patches applied and everything is great.

Regards.
