Cedega Doom 3 strange problem - help plz!

Hi all.

Just got the new Cedega, that purportedly supports Doom 3.

Ran setup.exe, everything was fine, my config was updated, had the warning about Windows version etc. etc., then I realised I was running as root.

So, I change to normal user, and bam!, nothing works. Install crashes out every time. Change back to root, same thing. Delete my config, run again, this time NO NEW CONFIG is created, for some weird reason (even if I reinstall Cedega!!) and the installer still crashes.

Why on earth could this be? What would have changed when I ran the installer as root the first time? Really don't know what's going on, and any help would be much appreciated.

Here's the crash output when I try to install:

Shouldn't take that much longer.

We're working on it and will make it available as soon as possible.

OK, that was on 4 August, but still. Here's hoping.

Re: Cedega Doom 3 strange problem - help plz!

I checked out the Transgaming forum and there's a thread on Doom 3.  A quick glance over a few posts shows a HOW-TO that has an installer and also instructions on installing it manually.

I'm guessing if people are doing manual installs, they are having problems using cedega to install as well.
