Hey all, on this computer, I only have Windows and no optical drive. I need to install Arch Linux through the use of the .img files. How do I write the .img file onto my USB drive from Windows?

Ages ago there was something like rawwrite.exe to create floppy discs; maybe this works with usb sticks, too.

In Faunos, the faunos.img file can be loaded with the following:
http://shounen.ru/soft/flashnul/flashnul-0.991.zip
You might find it will work for the arch.img.

Also rawrite (just one w).

The FaunOS system .img file would not work with rawrite from windows. Flashnul does perform the operation from windows.

I've gotten several hits when I just googled "dd for windows" .
I would imagine one of them should work with some fiddling.
