i'm dual booting Arch (32-bit) and OSX on my macbook pro 15" penryn.
i had the same problem as above with line 23. i think i updated pommed from AUR and that fixed that issue.
but now i get:
# /etc/rc.d/pommed start
:: Starting pommed daemon [BUSY]
/etc/pommed.conf:13: no such option 'lcd_sysfs'
[FAIL]
i have v1.20-1 ($Rev: 494 $) installed. it says in /etc/pommed.conf that sysfs is a backlight control interface provided by the Linux kernel.
anyone else having problems with pommed?

I run x86_64 with the latest macbook. Some time ago (approx. 2 months), pommed worked fine.
I made a fresh install of x86_64 with the latest isos, and have yet another problem with pommed : sometimes it starts correctly, sometimes it fails silently and I often have to '/etc/rc.d/pommed restart' several times to get brightness/volume keys work...
Any similar problem with pommed ? The official bugtracker is empty...

You may want to try downgrading the pommed package: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Downgrade_packages.

I installed with an older package and now when i start pommed, it just says FAIL. I have a /etc/pommed.conf and it should be working.
